SRINAGAR, June 5: Former minister and senior vice president of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference, Abdul Gani Vakil today asked the Government to come clear on its recent announcement of 10,000 jobs in J&K.
In a press statement issued here, Vakil asked the Lt Governor led administration to speed up the process of recruitment and clear the ambiguity on it as nothing has been done so far in this direction after the announcement. He said unemployed youth are eagerly waiting for the recruitment process.
“Only recruitments announcements are made and nothing happens on the ground. The previous Governor of J&K Satya Pal Malik also made huge announcement but at the end that were all fake promises, youth are still waiting his announcement of 50,000 jobs,” Vakil added.
JKPC leader stressed that the people who have PRCs issued by the authorities of the erstwhile State Governments of J&K should be regarded as Domicile Certificates and the Government must consider it on priority basis and should not put the people in trouble who are already facing hardships due to Covid-19 lockdown, Vakil added.
“Why do you want everyone to apply for the new domicile certificates when all the youth of J&K in the age group of above 18 years possess PRCs. Those who don’t have, should be asked to apply under the new norms. But those who already have should not be asked to apply for the new domiciles,” Vakil said.
“The candidates who possess the PRCs should not be asked to apply for the new Domicile Certificate, when we are all surrounded by a pandemic,” Vakil added.
