JAMMU, May 18: Former MLA Ramban, Ashok Kumar has said that Trauma Hospital Ramban is not functional for the last ten years due to shortage of staff and infrastructure machinery.
In a handout Kumar stated that Trauma Hospital was sanctioned along with National Highway to provide emergency medical services for the serious accidental patients on the National Highway as the road falling in Ramban district is highly prone to accidents.
He claimed that because of casual and insensitive approach, even after 10 years, the Government is unable to fill up the vacant posts in the Trauma Hospital thereby making it defunct.
Kumar urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of J&K to immediately fill up the vacant posts in Trauma Hospital of Ramban so that it may become function as the National Highway is accident and landslide prone and there is no major hospital in the periphery except in Jammu and Srinagar.
