UDHAMPUR, Sept 8: In order to gear-up the Revenue agency for the preparation of error free record, Regional Director (RD) Survey and Land Records (S&LR) Udhampur conducted one day training programme for all Patwaries, Girdawars and Tehsildars.
The training was conducted under DILRMP under the instructions of Financial Commissioner (Revenue) through the Principal, Revenue Training Institute, Gole Gujral, Jammu.
About 100 participants participated in the training and the main focus was laid on writing of Jamabandies, Girdawaris and attestation of mutations.
The training was inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar Shavan, RD S&LR while the proceedings were conducted by Krishan Lal, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Subash Chander Dogra, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Udhampur.
A thread bare discussion on the Revenue laws governing writing of correct Jamabandies took place. The team of panel was supplemented by Dr RK Singh Rana, Senior Consultant of RamTech Software Solution Private Limited, which is engaged in the scanning and digitalization of records.
While deliberating the issue, Rajesh Kumar Shavan said that training is the basic requirement for updating the skills of any organization and the Revenue Department has to deal with almost every Act/law either directly or in directly, thus it becomes imperative for them to have knowledge of these laws/standing orders.
DC Udhampur, who was the chief guest at the valedictory function, said that due to multifarious activities, the programme of Jamabandies in the District is poor but we will try to get it expedited through the Additional Deputy Commissioner and ACR.
He advised the Revenue Officials to be very punctual while writing the Jamabandies to avoid any further backlog. He hoped that Principal RTI will conduct such training programmes in the District in future also.
