JAMMU, Feb 11: Directorate of Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu organized a one-day training programme on e-Kuber Payment System for treasury officers at conference hall, Muthi.
The programme was organized under the chairmanship of Director Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu, Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan in collaboration with NIC, J&K unit.
The objective of the workshop was to sensitize all the treasury officers of Jammu province regarding basic frame work of e-Kuber Payment System as the Government is going to implement e-Kuber Payment System in the Union Territory of J&K with effect from February 20.
During the inaugural session, Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan emphasized that once the e-Kuber Payment System application is implemented, all the treasury officers shall ensure that payments are made online in DBT mode directly into the beneficiaries’ account.
He said that DDOs won’t be allowed to draw money and park the same into their official account for which mandatory beneficiary account details shall be provided by each and every DDO to their concerned treasury officers.
Further, the Director directed the participating District/Sub Treasury Officers of Jammu province to hold such programme at their respective district headquarters in order to sensitize the staff for smooth switching over to the e-Kuber Payment System.
