Training on ‘Developing Good Communication Skills’ concludes

JAMMU, Sept 1: The weeklong training on ‘Developing Good Communication Skills, Behaviour Attitude and Responsibilities towards General Public’ being organized at Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur (SKPAU) concluded today.
The training was inaugurated by Director of the Academy Mohd. Sulaiman Salaria in which 29 officers of J&K Police participated.
Objective of the training was to identify salient aspects of communication behavior which can affect the police officers professionally and personally.
During the training many eminent speakers including Dr. Pallavi Sachdeva, Assistant Professor in Jammu University, Dr. Nilika Arora, Assistant Professor in Central University Jammu, Dr. Rashi Taggar, Assistant Professor in SMVDU, Dr. Sapna Sangra, Assistant Professor in Jammu University, Dr. Samantha Sharma, Assistant Professor in SMVDU and others delivered lectures.
The speakers interacted with the participating officers on the topics including communication, barriers to effective communication and measures to overcome them, time management, managing changes in police organization etc. They had healthy discussion and they cleared the concepts of communication and its different aspects.
During valedictory function, Director SKPAU Mohd Sulaiman Salaria threw light on the importance of developing communication skills, attitude and responsibilities towards general public.
The course was coordinated by Kamal Sharma, JKPS, CPO with Course Secretary Ritu Bharti, PO and in close coordinate with Assistant Director (Admn) Stenzin Narboo JKPS, SSP and Assistant Director (Outdoor), Randheer Singh, JKPS, SSP of SKPA Udhampur.
