Trainees & staff of Police Academy provide Rs 3.47 lakh to flood victims

NEW DELHI:  The 66 RR batch of trainee IPS officers and the staff of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, have contributed Rs 3,46,968 in the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir.

The money of the cheque, raised through contributions, was presented to Home Minister Rajnath Singh by Academy Director Aruna Bahuguna here yesterday.

The officers presently undergoing training at the academy and the staff members have contributed their one day salary for the relief of flood victims.

The Home Minister has appreciated the gesture of the staff and officers of the Academy staff. (agencies)
