MOSCOW, May 13: A train has derailed in the Belgorod Region due to a gap of about 6.5 feet in the track, which may have been caused by the detonation of an explosive device, governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said on Wednesday.
“An emergency in the Yakovlevsky District. A train traveling on the Razumnoe-Tomarovka route derailed. Preliminary data show that the incident was caused by a gap of about two meters in the track, which may have been caused by the detonation of an explosive device,” Gladkov wrote on Telegram.
The train driver was forced to apply emergency brakes, which led to half of the car derailing, the Governor added. (UNI)
