TRAI suggests interoperability methods for DTH consumers

NEW DELHI :  The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today issued a draft tariff order (TO) for consultation with stakeholders, prescribing framework for commercial interoperability of customer premises equipment (CPE) in DTH services.
The TRAI has earlier invited comments and views of the stakeholders by March 13, 2015, however, on request of the stakeholders, the last date for receipt of written comments has been extended up to March 19, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology said in a statement.    It has also been decided that no request for further extension of time for submission of comments shall be entertained, it added.
