With the Darbar moving to Jammu, the traffic situation in Jammu city is going to worsen further. Right now, it is a nightmare on Jammu roads. All roads in the city remain choked with traffic jams particularly during marriage season and rainy days. The increasing number of vehicles is not the only cause, but the manner in which traffic is maintained by Traffic Department is a cause of concern. The drivers, particularly, matador drivers are also to be blamed for the mess.
To cope up with this problem, the Traffic Department should ensure the presence of more traffic personnel on roads. Besides, wrong parking should be discouraged by imposing heavy fines on defaulters.
Hope, the Traffic Department a would wake up to this problem.
