Traffic trouble

Sir,
Hardly any day passes when three-four or even much more in number people get killed in road accidents in Jammu. In most of the cases the motor bike riders are breaking hell loose with their three to four pillion riders, over speeding, blowing pressure horns, overtaking from wrong side and even performing stunts. During one recent stunt incident the rider died instantaneously after hitting the parapet on the road while his pillion rider lost his one arm. Most of these bikes are without proper documents, number plates, no valid licences to drive on roads and most of the riders use phones while driving with just one hand. A sustained campaign 24×7 on streets, lanes, bye lanes against these habitual defaulters by the Police department is very much necessary and need of the hour. It is shocking that no traffic personnel are seen to check this menace. Who is responsible? The second group of traffic rules violators are mini bus operators, most of whom create traffic jams because they wait for passengers and drop them any  where they ask by stopping the vehicle just in the middle of the road. The third group is those car owners who park their vehicles anywhere they like creating hurdles in the smooth traffic regulating. Why should public roads be used for parking vehicles for longer durations or even overnight. Traffic condition in Jammu can be set right to a larger extent if discipline on roads is observed or enforced harshly.
Yours etc…
