JAMMU, Dec 3: Traffic Police today launched major crackdown on the matadors for violation various provisions of traffic and seized over 100 vehicles including 55 matadors. A heavy fine was imposed on the defaulters.
Official sources said the Traffic Police, acting on complaints that matador operators were indulging in violation of traffic rules and regulations and stopping vehicles at their whims and fancies launched a massive driver against them.
Out of a total of over 100 vehicles seized today for violation of laws, 55 were matadors alone, they said, adding the Traffic Police drive against all violators including matadors will go on.
“The rules and regulations of traffic will be enforced very strictly,” they said.
The drive was launched by DySP Traffic City Tejinder Singh under the supervision of SSP Traffic Jammu Mohan Lal.
