Traffic on Baramulla-Muzzaffarabad restored partially after two days

SRINAGAR :  Traffic Baramulla-Uri-Muzzaffarabad highway was partially restored after remaining suspended for two days.
Work was still going on to fill the 40 feet deep carter caused due to sinking of road at Khanpora in Baramulla district, official sources said.
They said the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), responsible for the maintenance of the strategically important road to Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector had taken up the repair work immediately after about 70 feet stretch sunk 40 deep.
Though the work was still going on, traffic was partially restored, they said, adding that only one vehicle is allowed to pass the damaged portion of the road at a time.
Traffic was suspended on the road after 70 feet of the stretch sunk at Khanpora on September 16 morning.
A temple suffered some damaged , they said adding there was however, no loss of life or injury to anybody as there was no residential house around.
