RAMBAN, May 20: The movement of traffic remained disrupted in Ramban sector on the Jammu -Srinagar National Highway (NH) for over eight hours today.
Official sources said that due to fresh land slides and shooting of stones at Morh Ghori near Ramban at around 5 am this morning, the movement of vehicles on the highway came to halt. The road was restored after two hours and the movement of vehicles allowed.
But again, the boulders started falling on the highway at around 2 pm and the road was again blocked. The shooting of stones continued there for several hours and it further effected the restoration work. The road could be cleared to traffic at around 8.30 pm. A large number Army vehicles also remained stranded for about 6 hours and were cleared for Udhampur late this evening.
