RAMBAN, Nov 13: Traffic was disputed on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for over two hours after shooting stones hit a car, followed by landslide near Ramban today.
Reports said at around 1.35 pm on Monday, shooting stones suddenly started at Kela Morh, about 4 kms ahead of Ramban towards Banihal. Some stones hit a private car causing some damage to it. However, the three persons traveling in the vehicle had miraculous escape. It was followed by land slide apparently due to some ongoing road widening work.
After this, the movement of vehicles on the busy highway came to halt. Due to shooting stones for some time, the restoration work could not be launched at the site in view of risk to the lives of machine/ JCB operators. The highway was, however, cleared at around 3.40 pm and the traffic restored on the highway, reports added.
