JAMMU, Sept 11: A traffic cop was killed in accident near bus stand here.
As per police sources, a traffic cop was injured after a cement mixer vehicle hit him near bus stand.
The injured were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of GMCH for completion of medical and legal formalities.
The deceased was identified as Ramesh Kumar (SgCt posted with SO Traffic Bus Stand Jammu), son of late Shambu Nath Bhat of Patoli Brahmana District Jammu.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bus Stand and investigation started.
