SAMBA, May 20: A traffic police constable was crushed to death by a speedy truck near Vijaypur.
As per reports, a traffic constable namely Vinod Kumar, son of Mukhtiyar Ram of Miran Sahib was performing his duty, when a speedy truck bearing registration number JK02R-8739 hit him near Hanuman temple, Vijaypur.
The profusely bleeding constable was shifted to Vijaypur hospital, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
His body has been shifted to Ramgarh hospital, where after postmortem, it will be handed over to family members tomorrow.
The truck driver identified as Bodh Raj, son of Milkhi Ram of district Kathua has been arrested.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Vijaypur police station and further investigation into the case is going on.
