JAMMU, Jan 27: Trade and Social Organizations celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor.
Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI), Jammu celebrated the Republic Day. A programme was organized at the Chamber House which commenced with the hoisting of National Flag by Arun Gupta, President CCI Jammu in presence of other office bearers and senior members of the CCI.
A function was held at Bari Brahmana Industries Association Office, Bari Brahmana to celebrate the Republic Day of India. The National Flag was hoisted by Lalit Mahajan, President BBIA in the presence of Ajay Langer, Vice President, Shubanji Razdan, Incharge Fire Station Bari Brahmana with Civil Defence officials, members of BBIA and civil society members.
Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF-Jammu) celebrated 73rd Republic Day. A programme was organized at Channi Himmat office, which was attended by prominent bazaar heads, trade leaders and senior members of CTF. Tributes were paid to freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their life for the Nation. The tri-colour was unfurled by president CTF-Jammu, Neeraj Anand. Patron of CTF-Jammu Attar Singh was also present on the occasion.
73rd Republic day was celebrated by J&K Taekwondo Association at AITA Channi Himmat Jammu. The Indian Tricolor Flag was hoisted by DN Pangotra President J&K Taekwondo Association. Atul Pangotra International Coach and Referee, Dr SM Bali Senior Vice President J&K Taekwondo Association/Taekwondo India, Nissar Hussain Vice President, Treasurer Zaheer Abass Khan, World Silver Medalists Para Player Chandeep Singh and other players were also present on this occasion.
On Republic Day, Dogri Sanstha Jammu organized a special ‘Kahani Goshti’ through virtual mode. In Kahani Goshti, three prominent short story writers of Dogri Krishna Sharma, Sudesh Raj and Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’ read their short stories. Prof Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha Jammu presided over the function.
BMA JK (UT) President Sukhjit Singh hoisted the National Flag in presence of all the members of working body core group and other members.
All J&K Plus 2 Officers Association unfurled the National Flag in the presence of all Executive members.
To celebrate the 73rd Republic Day, Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Prade, Jammu organized a function in the sabha premises, where large number of people from different walk of the life participated in it. Senior member DBPS Advocate PC Sharma hoisted the National Flag in presence of President DBPS Ved Parkash Sharma and Senior BJP Leader Chander Mohan Sharma.
Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj celebrated Republic Day. Hav (Retd) Mohinder Singh hoisted the National Flag on behalf of Samaj. Prachi Raina alongwith Suryanshi, Mansavi Sharma, Manbi Raina, Agamya Sharma, Virat, Arpit, Ashmit and Shayala Bali presented a variety of cultural programmes.
Republic Day was celebrated in Balgran. Flag hoisting ceremony was done in presence of all the members and children of Balgran. Some children spoke on the topics “Republic Day” and Fundamental Rights and Duties of Citizens of India. Jugal Kishore and Rohit Sharma were awarded 1st prizes, Ankush & Suman (seniors), Diksha & Pinky (juniors) were awarded 2nd Prizes. Aina, Gungun and Bharti were awarded consolation prizes. Anjali awarded prizes to 3 toppers of 8th class.
Shakti Punj Hiranagar celebrated Republic Day at Jasmergarh Fort Hiranagar. Swami Krishnanand ji Maharaj in the presence of President Kuljeet Singh unfurled the National Flag.
Dogra youth leader Bhanu Partap Singh Goria unfurled the National Flag at Bhagwati Nagar Ward Number 14 as part of the Republic Day celebrations.
Republic Day was celebrated at All J&K Megh Sabha Headquarters Old Rehari and Kabir Chowk (KC Chowk) Jammu. President of Sabha Narinder Datt hoisted the flag along with F C Bhagat President Sadgur Kabir Sabha, Sham Lal, Amar Nath, Dr Jeet Bazala, Chanchal Dogra and many others.
A function in connection with Republic Day celebration was organized by Dogra Sadar Sabha Bishnah. The National flag was unfurled by Gulchain Singh Charak, President of the Central Body.
Republic Day was celebrated by Shurveer Jammu Sangathan by unfurling the National Flag at the main Chowk Muthi. The function was organized under the leadership of Veer Singh Hindu President SJS and Arun Seeky General Secretary. Many prominent persons attended the function.
Kranti Dal State President Pritam Sharma unfurled National Flag along with Karnail Chand, Puran Khajuria, Rakesh Sharma, Rajan Gupta and local people of Lower Roop Nagar.
Kiran Wattal Convenor Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of Republic Day as chief guest at Jagti Township and explained the importance of Day. Global solace volunteers, prominent people of Jagti including large number of women, children and elderly people participated in the program.
To celebrate Republic Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan organized culture a programme in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur. The function was inaugurated by VK Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India as chief guest who also unfurled the National Flag along with JK Raina, Freelancer Producer Director, Dr ML Dogra, former Regional Director Song and Drama Division and many others.
Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu celebrated Republic Day. On the occasion National Flag was hosted after which trophies/ mementoes were distributed to Sanitary Supervisors Lucky and Subash Gill, Nagrans Deepak, Karanjeet Singh and Ankush Sharma.
Tawi Welfare Society celebrated Republic Day in its premises at Apnavan Sure Chak where chief guest Sarpanch Ishya Devi unfurled the National Flag. Yash Paul Malhotra General Secretary of the Society, Naib Sarpanch Ram Lal, panches Lata Rajput, Shakti Bhagat and many others were present on the occasion.
All J&K Kabir Sabha celebrated Republic Day. The National Flag was unfurled by President of J&K Kabir Sabha FC Bhagat at Bishnah.
Sulabh International Social Service Organization Jammu and Kashmir celebrated the 73rd Republic Day in its Head Office at Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The flag was hoisted by Anil Kumar Mandal. Sunil Kumar Singh, Akhilesh Verma, Bishwanath Singh and all the officials, staff members and volunteers of Sulabh International were present.
Career Abacus celebrated Republic Day virtually. Republic Day speech was delivered by Arvind Sharma, Director of the Institute. A beautiful presentation was shown to the students depicting various facts about India and the Constitution. Later, a quiz competition was held on the topic ‘My India’. In Senior Group, Vedika Jamwal and Gungun Tickoo bagged first and second positions respectively, whereas the third position was shared by Avni Sharma and Keshav Bhougal. In Junior Group, Paras Gupta bagged first position, Asneh Singh and Gurneh Singh shared second positions, Akaalpreet Kour, Aditri Sharma and Vendita shared third position. In Sub-Junior Group, Hari Sunandan Sharma and Akshay Deb Roy secured first and second positions respectively, whereas the third position was shared by Lalenthika Sharma and Medansh Choudhary.
Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar Jammu celebrated 73rd Republic Day. A yagya was performed by Ranvijay Shastri for the purification of atmosphere and paying tributes to lakhs of freedom fighters who had laid down their lives in Indian freedom struggle. National Flag hoisting was performed by Suman. In the end, Bharat Bhushan Arya, President presented vote of thanks.
Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam Welfare Society celebrated 73rd Republic Day at its two managed schools–VK Sarvodaya School Rajeev Nagar Narwal Jammu and other at Trikuta Nagar Jammu. Yogita Bakshi Principal presented the welcome address. Rashmi Sharma (Rubi), Working President of the Society hoisted the National Flag at both schools. On the occasion, school children presented few cultural items. In the end, Bharat Bhushan, Honorary Treasurer presented vote of thanks.
Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association, Jammu organised a function at Day Care Centre, Exhibition Ground where they unfurled the National Flag. The former CVC Kuldeep Khoda and former DGP Ashok Bhan jointly unfurled the Tricolour. A large number of members of CGPWA including KB Jandial, Ashok Gupta, Yoginder Koul, Former IGP, JL Sharma, Rajinder Gupta, VK Ghai Former DIG, VK Raina IFS (retd), VK Sambyal Former Director AIR, Yash Raj, SL Salathia and PP Sharma.
Bank of India celebrated Republic Day at Head Office building. The National Flag was hoisted by AK Das, MD and CEO of the Bank. Executive Directors PR Rajagopal, Swarup Dasgupta, Karthikeyan and Monika Kalia, CVO LN Rath, all the General Managers and bank staff were present on the occasion.
On Republic Day, Asha Kiran Welfare Society (AKWS) distributed one hundred blankets to widows and every needy people of Ward Number 37 of Janipur Colony. On the occasion, Dr JP Gupta Chairman, Jaswant Manhas Vice President, Kamal Neter General Secretary, Hari Chand Sharma Joint Secretary, Vinod Kumar Organizing Secretary and many others were present on the occasion.
All J&K Scheduled Castes Welfare Association celebrated Republic Day at its Head Office at Janipur. Om Raj Bhall President of the Association unfurled the National Flag in presence Jagdish Bhagat Vice President, Gopal Dass General Secretary, MR Majotra, Cashier-cum-Office Secretary, Krishan Gopal District President Jammu (Rural), Dr Shiv Lal, Rajesh Bhagal, Jai Pal and many others.
JKTDC Employees Union President Qamar Din unfurled the National Flag on Republic Day. Chairman Sardar Khan, General Secretary Ishu, Organiser Ravinder Bhat, Cashier Balbir Singh and employees of JKTDC were also present on the occasion.
Arya Samaj Daya Nand Marg City Chowk Jammu celebrated Republic Day, in which all the members took part. The National Flag was hoisted by General Secretary Balwan Singh. Hawan yagya was also performed on the occasion. President Arya Samaj Arun Gupta also conveyed his best wishes to all.
Jal Shakti Employees and Workers Association Udhampur celebrated Republic Day at Jal Shakti Station Barrian Udhampur. A large number of employees and workers participated in the programme under the leadership of President of the Association and Vice President Panther Trade Union J&K Som Nath.
The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated at the premises of State Motor Garages, Jammu in which Prabjeet Singh, President SMG Employees Jammu Province hoisted the National Flag. Those who were present to celebrate the Day included ministerial staff, supervisory staff, technical staff, chauffeurs and drivers staff among others.
Republic Day was celebrated by Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj at its headquarters in Muthi. Tricolour was unfurled by its President RK Bhat in presence of executive members.

Bharat Nagar Talab Tillo Welfare Association celebrated the 73rd Republic Day. Chairman Satish Singh Manhas unfurled the National Flag. Others who attended the celebration included President Sham Lal Gupta, Convenor Manohar Lal Gupta, Secretary Prof Narayan Dutt Sharma, Treasure Bunty Khurrana and Spokesperson Vicky Duggal.
Swaran Vihar Welfare Association celebrated Republic Day at Mandir Chowk of the colony. On the occasion, the National Flag was unframed by President of the Association SN Raina. The programme was organized by General Secretary of the Association.
