JAMMU, Mar 28: Commissioner Secretary, Tourism Department Rigzian Sampheal has launched web-portal to augment the ease of doing business and to ensure hassle free on-line services to those engaged in travel trade for promotion of tourism across the State.
The portal will go a long way in providing all information related to registration/renewal of hotel units/travel agencies/dealers/adventure agencies etc creating more avenues for ensuring comfortable stay for the incoming tourists, he said.
The web portal will facilitate online registration/renewal of tourism/trade activities envisaged in the Jammu and Kashmir Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 1978. The web portal www.tourismjk.in has been developed by the SICOP.
The portal will provide direct access to the services being provided by the department as well as technical information such as checklist and other formalities required for on-line registration and renewal of these services.
The portal has been specially designed to ensure single access for information and services available with the department. It is expected to reduce time gap in making services available to the applicants. The services will now be accessible from multiple platforms like personal computer, smartphones and other electronic devices. It will also allow users to voluntarily personalize the information presented.
Further, the registration/ renewal certificate can be accessed at the given homepage. However, the renewal/registration cases already received/processed till date by both the Directorates shall be renewed/issued as per past practice.
