JAMMU, June 7: Gaurav Gupta, former General Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu, commended the Government for establishing the Jambu Zoo as a significant tourism project in Jammu and Kashmir.
He believes that this endeavor has the potential to boost the economy of the Union Territory and create new avenues for economic prosperity.
Gupta also expressed optimism about the creation of employment opportunities, growth in ancillary industries, and increased revenue generation. He emphasized that the development of such a world-class facility would position Jammu as a prominent tourist destination globally.
Gupta acknowledged the efforts of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Arun Mehta in facilitating these developments. He urged the Government to enhance visitor experience by introducing additional facilities and attracting a higher footfall.
Gupta expressed confidence that various other tourism-oriented projects in Jammu and Kashmir, including the retreat ceremony at Suchetgarh border, musical fountain at Bahu Fort, Bahu-Fort Mahamaya ropeway project, Yoga Centre at Mantalai, Vertical Garden in Jammu, and the development of Jammu under the Smart City initiative, would contribute to the region’s economic growth.
He reiterated that the combination of Jambu Zoo, Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu, and the aforementioned projects would establish Jammu as an independent tourist destination.
Gupta emphasized the need for the people of Jammu to actively support the people-centric policies of the Modi Government in fulfilling this long-awaited dream.
