JAMMU, Mar 2: Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Jammu and Kashmir, has criticized the recent hike in LPG cylinder prices, stating that it is yet another blow to the common man’s pocket.
Addressing the gatherings after inaugurating the development works in Village Baja Chak and Siddar in Suchetgarh, he mentioned that even frying “Pakodas” will now be difficult for the common people. Tony demanded the immediate rollback of the price hike and blamed the Modi Government for burdening the people with rising fuel prices, inflation, and job losses.
He accused the government of being insensitive to the plight of the people and recovering losses from the poor people of the country through the highest inflation India has seen in the last 75 years after independence.
Tony also criticized the Modi Government’s policies, alleging that it is trying to waive off loans of its rich friends like Ambani and Adani, and recover the losses from the poor people. He accused the government of imposing GST on essential dairy products and stationery materials of nursery students.
He stated that the Government has created the highest unemployment in the country in the last 75 years and has doubled the expenditure of farmers in the form of a hike in the prices of seeds, fertilizers, diesel, pesticides, etc., which has badly hit the food producers of the country.
He urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen the hands of Arvind Kejriwal, who he believes can provide employment to the unemployed youth of India and launch welfare schemes for the people of the country while controlling inflation.
