JAMMU, Nov 1: District Development Council (DDC) Suchetgarh member and Congress leader, Taranjit Singh Tony, along with social activist Harvinder Kour and youth leader, Narinder Sharma here today distributed blankets to flood hit and needy families in Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Tony said that the initiative was aimed to bring warmth and relief to those who have lost their belongings in the recent floods.
“Many families have been left struggling with the loss of their homes and essentials. As winter approaches, it becomes our moral duty to stand by them and help them rebuild their lives. We cannot depend solely on the government, every citizen must come forward,” he said.
Appealing to the public to contribute in any way possible, Tony further said: “Whether it’s through donating blankets, warm clothes or daily necessities, humanity must come first.”
Social activist Harvinder Kour emphasized the importance of community support.
Youth leader Narinder Sharma also participated in the distribution drive.
