Toddler among nine injured in accidents

JAMMU, Feb 1: Nine persons including a toddler were injured in accidents.
As per police sources, six persons including a toddler were injured when the Alto car they were travelling in from Jammu to Surankote met with accident near Rah Salyote area of Chowki Choura.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to nearby hospital, from where three were shifted to GMCH Jammu for specialised treatment.
The injured were identified as Tanvir Ahmed, his wife Nazmeen Akhter, his daughter Anha Fatima (1 ½ years), Naseer Ahmed, Fozia Kouser and Nighat Firdous, all resident of Sunderbani, District Poonch.
The condition of the toddler was stated to be critical when last reports came in.
Chowki Choura Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured when the bike they were riding on was hit by unknown vehicle near Tehsil Office Animal.
The injured were shifted to SDH Banihal from where two were referred to GMC Anantnag.
The injured were identified as Abdul Rasheed, Junaid Ahmed and Aqib Ahmed.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
