JAMMU, July 9: A deputation of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) today met Kavinder Gupta, Speaker Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, at his residence and apprised them of their problems.
Highlighting flood problem of sector 5 and 6 during raining season, president TNWS, Vikram Gour expressed his anguish over the total neglect of this burning problem by the concerned authorities viz JMC and UEED.
“The huge correspondence and personal meetings with the authorities during last one year yielded no results”, the deputation said and apprised the MLA of resident’s plight spending sleepless nights due to threat of floods as it rains.
“Unscheduled and frequent power cuts, breakdowns of power and voltage fluctuations have also added to the misery of the residents”, they told the Speaker.
The speaker was also reminded of the earlier demand of Trikuta Nagar resident’s for conversion of ‘Lease Hold Status’ of the plots in the colony to ‘Free Hold’ as has already been done in Chhanni Himmat and other residential colonies.
Kavinder Gupta gave patient hearing to the deputation and promised an early solution to all outstanding problems.
