TNWS delegation highlights issues with JDA VC

JAMMU, July 11: A delegation of the Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) led by its president Vikram Gour met VC, JDA, Sushma Chouhan in her office chamber to apprise her of the dilapidated condition of the main park along the Railway Road.
The delegation informed Chouhan that both herbal and ornamental plants in the park are dying for want of proper watering and look after. Besides, flowing on the left side of the park, nallah “Landoi Choie” is giving foul smell due to water logging.
The delegation also highlighted other issues including out of order park lights, encroachment of JDA space by adjoining shops and dumping of waste and garbage by hotels in Sector-9 in the nallah.
The VC along with Angurana, SE, JDA, concerned AEE and the Khalaf-i-Warzi officer conducted an immediate inspection of the area to assess the ground realities and then issued instructions to SE, JDA to carry out all the necessary works of upkeep of park within one-week.
