TJ releases Calendar-2021, demands Sept 23 as holiday

JAMMU, Jan 1: Team Jammu (TJ) today released the Calendar -2021 and demanded that September 23, birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh should be declared as ‘State Holiday’.
The calendar was released at a function presided over by Zorawar Singh Jamwal, TJ Chairman where the newly elected DDC member and TJ volunteer, Jasvir Singh was chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion Jamwal reiterated the demand of declaring September 23, birthday of last Dogra ruler, Maharaja Hari Singh as State Holiday.
“We welcomed J&K UT Government’s previous year decision of declaring Accession Day (October 26) as State Holiday but regretted that there was no similar gesture for September 23, the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh, who was instrumental in accession of J&K with Indian Union,” he said.
Jamwal made a fervent appeal to J&K people to observe holiday on the birth anniversary of late Maharaja whose contributions in every sphere of life are even remembered today.
DDC member from Pancheri-Mongri, Yasvir Singh while speaking on the occasion said the last Dogra ruler was a victim of malicious and vicious propaganda launched by Kashmir based ruling elites to undermine revolutionary steps taken by him.
Anupam Singh Sambyal, Dr. Ashish Gupta, Ashwini Kumar, Sunil Raipuria, Surinder Sharma, Sanjay Verma and Sunil Gupta were also present on the occasion.
