TJ organizes anti-drug programme

JAMMU, Mar 13: Team Jammu (TJ) here today organized an anti-drug programme at Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Baag Baayian in Gole Gujral Camp.
On this occasion different speakers educated the youth on menace of drug addiction and the youth expressed concern over the ignorant attitude of local police on the burning issue of the menace.
They claimed that their area is a tail-end of two police posts-Pouni Chack and Talab Tillo, due to which both the jurisdictions are not having a proper vigil in the area.
“Many times suspicious movements have been spotted but no action was taken,” youth present during the programme claimed.
Addressing the gathering, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, chairman TJ asserted that they would take the war against drug addiction to a logical end with the support of people.
“The way people, especially the youth, are coming forward in our campaign has encouraged us,” he maintained adding that in days to come, Team Jammu will organize similar programmes and rallies in other parts of Jammu region too.
Jamwal further said that it is high time to expose those who are playing with the lives of younger generation for petty interests.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion were president Gurudwara Singh Sabha Baag Baayian, S. Amarpreet Singh Lovely; general secretary, S. Paramjeet Singh, S. Reebek Singh and others.
