JAMMU, June 15: The Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu celebrated its 2nd annual day with religious fervour and large-scale participation from devotees.
To mark the day, special rituals were performed by priests-Tharun Kumar, Dasaradhi Sesha Sai, and Raghuraman-who had arrived from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, for the occasion.
The celebrations began with a traditional havan, followed by the ceremonial Abhishekam (ritual bathing) of Lord Venkateswara and special puja offerings.

A community langar was also organised, which was participated by hundreds of devotees.
The event commemorated the temple’s Sthapana Diwas (foundation day) and drew visitors from Jammu and neighbouring areas.
Several dignitaries attended the event and offered prayers. These included Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Verma, DIG CRPF Rajesh Dhakarwal, Principal Revenue Training Institute Sunaina Mehta Sharma, social activist Raju Jandyal, Mahant Ranjit Singh, and MLA Vikram Randhawa.
Other notable attendees were Anil Sharma, Raj Sharma, Gangadhar Maharaj, Nitish Mahajan, Tushar Mahajan, Somnath Khajuria, Akanksha Kalsotra, Gaurav Parashar, Balram Sharma, Varun Padha, Shrikant Sharma, and Rajiv Gupta. Temple Inspector Sai Krishna thanked all attendees for making the event a success.
He highlighted the spiritual importance of the day and invited people of Jammu to participate in future religious activities to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.
