JAMMU, Dec 23: Tiny Aspirants Public School celebrated its Annual Day function with zeal and gaiety at Jourian, Akhnoor, today.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Sham Lal Sharma, Sr Vice President J&K PCC and former Minister, while Parveen Sharma, Chairman Citizen Cooperative Bank, Kaushal Sharma SSP and
Kulbushan Magotra were the guests of honour on the occasion.
Students attired in fascinating dresses presented different cultural items including Fauji Dance, Dogri Dance, Karate and patriotic songs which were highly applauded by the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal stressed the urgent need to introduce Dogri in the school curriculum.
He further stressed on the awareness and unity of Dogras for the upliftment of Dogri language.
Earlier, the Principal of the school, Seema Sharma read out the annual report highlighting the key achievements of the school.
The students were also felicitated for their achievements in field of academics and other co curricular activities.
Later, Sharma also distributed prizes amongst the students who excelled in academics and co-curricular activities.
