DODA, May 19: During Naka checking at different locations in the district, Police here today seized three tractor trolleys for illegal mining activities.
In an action led by SHO Police Station Gandoh and his teams, Doda Police seized three tractor trolleys loaded with sand in connection with illegal mining activities. The first seized tractor trolley was bearing registration number JK06B-0976 and it was fined Rs. 10,825. It was driven by Aqib Zafer, son of Mohd Zafer Bhat, resident of Gandoh.
Other tractor trolley seized was bearing registration number JK06C-8507 and it was also fined Rs. 10,825. It was driven by Nazir Ahmed, son of Talib Hussain, resident of Gandoh while the third tractor trolley seized was of model 855 FE and it was fined Rs. 10,825. It was driven by Khadam Hussain, son of Saif Din, resident of Gandoh.
Each seized tractor trolley was found involved in illegal transportation of mining material.
The concerned District Mineral Officer, Doda was also informed by the Police in this regard.
