Three smugglers held, 15 bovines rescued

KISHTWAR, May 21: Police here today arrested three smugglers and rescued 15 bovine animals from Watsar Chatroo area.
On the directions of SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal a special team with cops from Police Station Chatroo was constituted which was led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO Chatroo under the supervision of I/C Dy.SP DAR Kishtwar.
The team laid a Naka at Watsar Chatroo and during checking 15 bovine animals were rescused and arrested three smugglers who were in the process of taking these animals towards Kashmir valley without any valid permission.
In this connection, a case in FIR No. 38/2023 was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Chatroo and investigation taken up.
