JAMMU, June 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed three officers of the J&K Prosecution Service to new roles for conducting criminal cases under Section 18 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
As per an order of Home Department, Sheikh Tanveer Rasool has been posted as Public Prosecutor in the Principal Sessions Court, Kupwara; Syed Jehangir Ahmad has been appointed Public Prosecutor in the Principal Sessions Court, Ganderbal; and Shafat Ahmad Bhat will now serve as Additional Public Prosecutor at NIA/Additional Sessions Court, Ganderbal.
