Three persons arrested with illicit liquor

JAMMU, July 24: Police arrested three persons along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, a team from Domana Police Station led by PSI Kulvinder Singh during patrolling in Purkhoo area intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 52 illicit liquor quarters from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Bansi Lal, son of Kantar Chand of Kanachack District Jammu.
Meanwhile, another team from Police Station Domana led by HC Abdul Hamid during patrolling in Muthi area intercepted a scooter.
During checking, police team recovered 40 illicit liquor quarters from the scooter and arrested two persons, who were identified as Jagdeep Raj, son of Ghara Ram and Tarseem Lal, son of Sham Lal, both residents of Muthi District Jammu.
Cases under FIR Numbers 197/2020 and 198/2020 under section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The arrests were made under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Chanchal Singh, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
