Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Dec 10: Three persons were killed in road accidents at different locations. As per reports, a man identified as Mohd Bashir of Chata Chowadhi was killed when the motorcycle (JK02AK-1846) he was riding on was hit by a truck (JK02K-4635) at Bari Brahmana. His body was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after postmortem, the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites. A case has been registered and manhunt was launched to arrest the absconding driver. Meanwhile, a youth was seriously injured, when the scooty (JK14-6222) he was riding was hit by a tractor (JK14B-8075) at Omara Morh, district Udhampur. The youth identified as Nek Ram, son of Kapoor Chand of Ramnagar, was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. The body was handed over to family members after completion of legal formalities for last rites. A case has been registered and manhunt was launched to arrest the absconding driver. In another incident, a person identified as Harvinder Kumar, son of Dharam Chand of Phallai Mandal succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here today. Harvinder was seriously injured, when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a truck at Narwal yesterday. The body was handed over to family members for last rites after autopsy. A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
