Three injured in road accidents

JAMMU, May 31: Three persons were injured today in two separate road accidents in city outskirts.
“An Alto Car bearing registration number JKO2BW-7249 driven by one Mohit Veshnav son of Surinder Kumar, resident of Durga Nagar (Jammu) which was on its way from Akhnoor to Jammu when reached at Bathera, the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rammed into a tree along the road,” a police official said.
He said mishap occurred today at about 6 PM due to rash and negligent driving by the driver who sustained some injuries and was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment. “In this connection, a case FIR number 81/2020 u/s 279/337 IPC has been registered at police station Kanachak,” the official added.
Another mishap occurred this evening at Nagrota, where two persons travelling on a bike got injured when their two-wheeler slipped on the road. The injured persons namely Surinder Singh son of Bachiter Singh and Vipin son of Sham, both residents of Rehari, were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment. Nagrota police had taken cognizance of the matter.
