JAMMU, Sept 22: GRP Katra arrested three persons for illegally selling the cement of Railway Department meant for construction work at Railway Station Katra.
As per police sources, on specific information, GRP Katra arrested three persons for selling the cement procured by Railways for construction works at Railway Station Katra to outsiders illegally.
The accused have been identified as Bhanu Partap Singh, son of Angrez Singh of Pangara, district Udhampur, Chanchal, son of Shibu Masha of Katra and Rattan Singh, son of Shiv Ram Lohar of Ramnagar, district Udhampur.
Bhanu Partap Singh, who is an employee with contractor of Railways used to strike deal with outsiders and sell the cement illegally in connivance with others.
A case under FIR number 6/14 under Section 406 and 411 RPC has been registered at Police Station GRP Katra and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Police Station GRP Katra Shahzad Ahmed Khan made the arrest under the supervision of AK Mahajan, SSP Railways Katra.
