JAMMU, Sept 22: An Army Major allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the bathroom of his residence at Pallanwala in Khour area of Akhnoor.
According to police sources, the Delhi-based officer identified as Major Raman Bagla (29) who was a doctor, late last night hanged himself with the help of a bedsheet in the bathroom of his quarter in 52 Brigade, Pallanwala.
He was found hanging this morning by his colleagues who informed the concerned officers following which the matter was reported to police.
The body was handed over to the Army after conducting post-mortem. Though no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the concerned police has registered a case and started investigations.
