JAMMU, Aug 16: Pacca Danga and Bakshi Nagar Police arrested three drug peddlers along with poppy straw and heroin.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Pacca Danga led by SHO Inspector Ajit Singh under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu laid a naka at Manda and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02CH-8175.
During checking, police team recovered 10 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested two persons who were identified as Harnam Singh, son of Kartar Singh and Karan Singh, son of Gian Singh, both residents of Ghordi Ramnagar District Udhampur.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Ravi Kant under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar laid a naka and apprehended a drug peddler along with 4.50 grams of heroin.
The arrested person was identified as Abhisekh Kokhar, son of Sunil Khokhar of Resham Ghar Colony Bakshi Nagar District Jammu.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Pacca Danga and Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
