Three-day course on Juvenile Justice begins at Police Academy

UDHAMPUR, Feb 2: Three-day course on “Juvenile Justice” commenced today at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy, Udhampur.
Twenty two Police officers of the rank of Sub-Inspector to DySPs are participating in the said training course. The course on Juvenile Justice has been designed to sensitize the Police Officers regarding the various legal provisions of protection, care and rights of the children.
The course was formally inaugurated by SSP Rajinder Kumar Gupta, Dy Director (Indoor) SKPA Udhampur. In his inaugural address, he briefed the participating officers about the basic concepts of the course and existing legal provision on the subject. He also laid emphasis on the adoption of the innovative methods to tackle the issue.
The course is being coordinated by DySP Sukhvir Singh, Asstt Director (Admn), assisted by Inspector Vikrant Singh, member faculty.
