Three booked for causing inconvenience to people

JAMMU, Sept 12: In order to prevent the use of alcohol and drugs by youth at isolated places at highway and then indulge in rash driving leading to fatal accidents especially during weekends, Nagrota police in a special drive, booked three persons.
The persons identified as Vikas Sharma of Toph Sherkhania, Amit Salhotra of Janipur and Ashok Kumar of Bari Brahmana were booked under 36 Police Act (public inconvenience), who were found drunk and creating trouble for locals and other visitors during surprise raids conducted by Incharge Police Post Sidhra SI Ayub Khan under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal.
This drive of Nagrota police will be carried out more vigorously throughout the highway besides Nagrota police has planned to conduct regular awareness among youngsters regarding ill effects of drugs and drinking and about different provision of laws under which they can be booked for such activities at highway.
