Three arrested in assault case

JAMMU, June 27: Three criminals have been arrested in an assault case by Domana police.
According to the reports, on June 25, a video went viral on social media about an assault case in Khanpur area under the jurisdiction of police station Domana.
Taking cognizance of the matter in a swift manner, a case FIR Number 174/2021 U/s 452/323/147/148 of IPC and 4/25 of Arms act was lodged at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
After this police teams under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kousheen Koul were constituted to probe the case. Meanwhile, the team led by SHO police station Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma assisted by Incharge police post Pounichak Sub Inspector Dilawar Kumar after strenuous efforts rounded up an accused namely Mangal Singh son of Janak Singh of Khanpur.
During sustained questioning, the accused revealed name of another accused involved namely Ravi Singh son of Bishan Singh of Village Kushalpur (R S Pura), who was also subsequently arrested and on his disclosure sharp edged weapon (Toka) used in the commission of offence was also seized.
After this, the third accused namely Beer Singh son of Balbir Singh of Satryian (RS Pura) was also arrested. Further investigation of the case is going on.
