JAMMU, Feb 6: Thousands of devotees converged to celebrate the 664th birth anniversary of Shri Baba Lal Dayal Ji Maharaj at Lal Dhwara, Jain Bazaar, here today.
On the occasion, a grand function was organized wherein devotees from different parts of the State as well other areas of the country participated for seeking blessings of Shri Baba Lal Dayal Ji Maharaj.
Giving information about the programme, President of the Management Committee of the Temple, Suman Kumar Chadha, said that Ramayan Path was organized which concluded today. ‘Parbhat Phery’ was taken out from the temple at 5:45 am today morning, followed by Aarti at 6.30 am and Bhog of Ramayan Path at 11 am.
“On the occasion, Satsang was held, followed by full day bhandara,” he said adding that thousands of devotees participated in the celebrations to take blessings of Shri Baba Lal Dayal Ji Maharaj.
Chadha informed that Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, Ex-MLA Rajesh Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma and large number of newly elected Corporators of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) also took part in the celebrations.
While speaking, the speakers said that for the whole life, Baba Ji served as a great source of teaching and inspiration for the people from all walks of life. They said that present era is the highest time that we must learn from the lives of great saints and accordingly mould ourselves so that we can live in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
Meanwhile, the birth anniversary of Shri Baba Lal Dayal Ji was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety at Baba Lal Ji temple in District Samba. Devotees from District Samba and adjoining areas participated in the function and seek blessings of the Shri Baba Lal Dayal Ji.
While speaking, the speakers threw light on the life and teachings of Shri Baba Lal Dayal Ji. They also asked the devotees to follow the footprints of Shri Baba Lal Dayal Ji.
