The protesting students said that there is huge disparity in the fee structure of South Campus and rest of the BSc Nursing Colleges of Kashmir. “We are affiliated with University of Kashmir but there is a huge difference in the fee structure as compared to other colleges of the Valley. In GMC Srinagar, the annual fee of the BSc Nursing course is Rs 10000 and in Women’s college MA road, the fee is Rs 30000 per annum. However, we are compelled to deposit Rs 77800 per annum. This is injustice,” Aafaq Amin, a BSc Nursing student said
“We have approached the higher authorities including Vice Chancellor of the University for the matter but they are not heeding to our demand,” he added
The protesting students appealed to the Governor of the State to look into the matter and address the issue as soon as possible.
