UDHAMPUR, Mar 24: Union Minister of State in PMO with independent charge for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Dr Jitendra Singh today lambasted those forces who out of desperation are trying to find a fault with the working of coalition Government in the State and making a hue and cry that the conditions like Amarnath type Andolan have emerged in the State.
Talking to reporters here today and later addressing a Mandal level workers meeting, the Union Minister said, the people who vehemently opposed the Amarnath Andolan in 2008 are now posing to be a role model of Jammu’s voice. “By saying so this means that they too are holding the Amarnath agitation of 2008 as a role model”.
He, while ridiculing the statement of National Conference and Congress leaders   for opt repeating that the coalition has proved a failure, said that this Government completed three years in office and still they say it is a failure. “This is nothing but their sheer desperation of remaining out of power’’, he added.
Maintaining that this is the evidence based age, Dr Jitendra Singh said the people can not be carried out by such a false propaganda as they have capacity to judge the performance. Asking the party workers to have faith in themselves and their leadership, he urged them to launch a door to door campaign to take Governments performance to the people.
On Rassana issue, Dr Jitendra Singh said he favoured investigation without any bias and no one should be unnecessarily harassed. The transparency in the investigation is must to restore people’s faith in the same, he added.
On the CBI probe, he said “we have no problem and the Centre can only order the CBI probe if State Government writes to it’’.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that the interrogation should be of minimal possible time and after questioning for two three hours the youth should be allowed to go home.
Regarding the Nowshera issue where people are demanding district status, the Union Minister said “after the yesterday’s announcement by the State Government I feel the people are satisfied with it’’.
He also complimented Prime Minister, Narendra Modi showing his concern towards the armed and para – military forces who announced that Government will bear all the expenses of education of martyrs’ children and removed the cap of Rs 10,000 in this regard. The nation is indebted to Army and para military forces, he added.
He said this year a 20 -day long celebrations will be held all over the country and this year a campaign for public welfare schemes all over the country.
During the 20 day long celebrations beginning from the Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14 total 115 districts will be given the status of inspirational districts all over the country and Prime Minister will attend the function in one of these districts on April 14. In J&K two districts have been selected for this purpose after making a scientific analysis.
On Rahul Gandhi’s temple visits, he said these visits are an affront to the Indian voter.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, the Indian voter of 2018 is mostly the young voter who goes by reasoning and conviction and therefore, it is naive to think that he can be carried away by the tricks of the past. It is a pity, he said, that Rahul Gandhi has refused to learn from the outcome of his visits to 29 temples during the Gujarat election campaign and is once again resorting to same “failed” strategy by visiting five temples in just two days.
Dr Jitendra Singh called upon the party workers to win people’s confidence by identifying with them and by developing a free-frank rapport with the youth through transparency and sincerity in their dealings. He said, his experience of elections in Gujarat, Tripura, Manipur and elsewhere had taught him that there was no longer any place for hypocrisy in public life. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah had introduced a new trend of 24X7 commitment in India’s political culture and therefore, public service was no longer a part time job or a luxury, he added.
