JAMMU, Jan 6: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister has asserted that leaving the Congress party and now rejoining it by some of its leaders proves beyond doubt that these leaders are in a fix as they are neither sure about survival of Congress Party nor about the new Democratic Azad Party (DAP) led by the former J&K CM, Ghulam Nabi Azad.
He said that the confusion in the minds of these leaders is quite apparent in their words and deeds. This also exposes the character of these politicians who display opportunism and seem to be making last ditching efforts for their survival in the political arena.
Kavinder Gupta was responding to the rejoining of at least 17 leaders of Congress who had resigned from the basic membership of the party and had joined former Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad’s bandwagon.
The senior BJP leader coming down heavily on these leaders said that they have become totally redundant on the political landscape of J&K as of today. Terming them as opportunist ‘Aaya Ram Gaya Ram’ philosophy protagonists are just like rolling stones gathering no mass.
He stated this while addressing media persons on the sidelines of a function in which he inaugurated a free medical camp organized by Sure Diagnostic Specialized Lab here today. The medical camp was organized to mark the 4th Foundation Day of Sure Diagnostic Specialized Lab here today.
