JAMMU, Apr 3: Thieves decamped with three ceiling fans, ration, utensils of Mid Day meals from the Government Middle School, Chack Rijoo area in Kathua district, during late last night.
According to sources, it is almost a daily routine affair of theives in Middle as well as High schools in far flung areas of the district kathua as there is no watch and ward or night patrolling in schools premises especially in middle schools. Earlier also thefts of computers and other schools items were reported from Hiranagar areas, sources added.
On being asked, CO Kathua admitted that there are no chokidars at Middle schools.
Police has taken cognizance of the matter and registered a case of theft at Kathua Police Station for further action.
