Thieves decamp with gold ornaments, cash

SAMBA, Mar 15: Thieves have decamped with gold ornaments and cash from a residential house in Samba today. According to the information, the thieves allegedly stole about 10-12 tolas of gold and two and a half lakh rupees in Ward number 11 of Samba. The victim Rakhi Verma, daughter of Chander Kant Verma, a resident of Ward Number 11, said that she had gone to the market to buy household items and there was no one at home. When she returned home, she found the locks broken and the things scattered. She reported the matter to police which has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
In another theft case at Bari Brahmana area of Samba district one Yaspaul Chowdhary, son of Puran Chand of Ward 13 near Industrial area Bari Brahmana reported that a theft took place inside his Karyana Store in which Rs 15000 to 20000 cash and some grocery Items were stolen. Bari Brahmana Police have taken cognizance of the matter.
