JAMMU, July 15: Channi Himmat Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen vehicle from his possession.
As per police sources, an information was received at Police Station Channi Himmat regarding theft of bike bearing registration number JK02CC-7452. On receipt of this information, a case FIR Number 104/2022 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO Inspector Deepak Katoch and assisted by PSI Paramjeet Singh was constituted under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area along with timely human intervention finally arrested the thief, who has been identified as Rahul Gupta, son of Rajesh Gupta of Gharota District Jammu. On his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle was recovered. Further investigation into the case is going on.
