JAMMU, Aug 4: Satwari Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen scooter from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Atish, son of Hira Lal of Shastri Nagar with Police Station Satwari stating that some unidentified persons have stolen his scooter.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 134/22 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station Satwari led by SHO Inspector Sameer Jiilani under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma connected various leads and finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Vinay Verma, son of Prakash Chand of Shastri Nagar District Jammu.
On his disclosure, the stolen scooter has been recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
