JAMMU, Apr 1: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a thief and recovered stolen music system.
A police spokesman said that, a complaint was lodged by Yash Pal Choudhary, a resident of Sector 5, Nanak Nagar few days back with Gandhi Nagar police station that some unidentified thieves decamped with music system of his car.
After registering a case under FIR number 56/14 under Section 380 RPC at police station Gandhi Nagar, police started investigation.
During the course of investigation, police picked up a suspect namely Gurdeep Singh, son of Choudhary Isher Singh of Sector 5, Nanak Nagar for questioning.
During questioning, the suspect broke down and accepted the crime. On his disclosure, police recovered one stereo system, one amplifier, one bass tube, one pair of speaker and one pair of tweeters.
The arrest was made by a police team headed by SHO Arun Jamwal.
