KATHUA, Sept 11: Police party of Police Post Nagri led by SI Bimal Indu, Incharge of the Police Post apprehended a notorious thief namely Atul Vaid @ Chita S/o Pandu Sharma R/o Nagri Tehsil & District Kathua who was wanted in case FIR No. 271/2015 u/s 457/380 RPC of P/S Kathua.
On his disclosure, golden ornaments weighing 3.5 Tolas, one Mangal Sutra, one Ring and one set ear tops were recovered from him. The accused person is in Police remand and is being questioned thoroughly. Police suspects his involvement in the burglaries that had occurred during the past in Kathuia and surrounding areas.
The arrest as well as recovery was made under the supervision of Neeva Jain-IPS, SP Kathua.
